We changed the behavior of the menu when in private browsing mode to not allow permanent/persistent whitelisting (#34). However, some users want this ability back. That is, they understand the issues (that the permanently whitelisted items will be stored in their firefox preferences even after leaving private browsing mode or restarting their browser) and not having this accessible through the menu reduces the usability of !RequestPolicy.

The only workaround as of 0.5.12 is to add items to the permanent whitelist through the preferences window or by leaving private browsing temporarily in order to whitelist the items through the menu (the latter option is not that useful because one doesn't go to the same page when leaving/resuming private browsing mode).

Arguably, a new menu item should be available when in Private Browsing mode to control this preference. However, I'm inclined to keep it in the preference window because there's no room with a menu item to explain the issues. On the other hand, if users who always use Private Browsing mode install !RequestPolicy, they may never know there is a permanent whitelist.

Fixed in r302. The new option is in Preferences > Advanced.
